I crossed it as a child, and I believe my mother used it daily on her way to school. It’s still used today by walkers who want to avoid crossing the new, busy road.

Question for the forum: what type of bridge is this? Any ideas?

Thanks for the reblog.
When you say, what type of bridge, what are you thinking of?

If it’s any help I have posted an update top the original post which includes a link to an engineering website which analyses the bridge.

You’re welcome.
I would be interested in any further information. The link I posted refers to the children crossing that bridge to get to school. My mother was one of them. And I, myself, crossed the bridge during my childhood.
